Hollywood Farmers Market is pleased to announce that we have received a $7,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente Northwest! These funds will support the Fresh Funds program at Hollywood and Lloyd Farmers Markets.
As part of the program, we reach out to residents of public housing buildings in our neighborhoods, and provide a monetary incentive to shop at the farmers market. Each participant will receive up to $50 in “Fresh Funds dollars” to spend at the market. The program’s goals are to increase the participants access to healthful food, and to get them to shop more frequently at the farmers market. The program will launch in early April.
We look forward to stronger connections with our neighbors in the Hollywood East building at NE 45th and Broadway, and welcoming them each week to our market!
