We are pleased to announce that the Hollywood Farmers Market is working with Tressa Yellig of Salt, Fire & Time to host a series of four preserving classes this season. Participants will learn how to make sweet berry conserves, easy vinegar pickles, canned crushed tomatoes, and fermented vegetables. Each class is only $50 or take the whole series for $175.
This is the first fundraiser for the Fresh Funds Program this season!
July 24th, 9:30-11:30am – Sweet Berry Conserves
August 21st, 9:30-11:30am – Easy Vinegar Pickles
September 18th, 9:30-11:30am – Canned Crushed Tomatoes
October 16th, 9:30-11:30am – Fermented Veggies & Sauerruben
Participants will be sent home with the canned goods that they preserved and armed with the knowledge and ability to do it all again. All ingredients will be sourced from Hollywood Farmers Market vendors and all equipment will be provided!
