Oregon’s Farm Direct Bill, HB 2336, passed the Oregon House of Representatives on Wednesday, February 16th, with a wide margin (45-13) and is now headed for the Senate. This bill allows for farm-direct marketing of certain products such as pickles and jams without having to be processed in a state-certified facility. Drafted by food safety and farmer advocates sitting at the same table, this bill provides a win-win for both.
